I got a brand new Raspberry PI computer!

The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video.

The device is quite new so there's not much software now but I expect big things coming up in the music making field! At the moment there's just some experimental tracker in development but there are big potentialities for the future.

I still fail to understand how people can consider stuff like the i*ad "revolutionary" or "innovative" when clever stuff like this is announced and costs a fraction of the price...

Possibile applications are:

• Cheap virtual synth, drummachine or sampler
• Audio player
• Virtual DJ like application
• Sequencer or tracker
• Cheap VJing device

We'll see what happens, keeping an eye on music and audio applications.
